Singapore Shopfronts

This series of drawings depicts shops in Singapore that I grew up around, like the neighbourhood hardware store, hawker centre stall or Mama shop.

I started documenting them as many shops like this have been slowly replaced by shopping malls and supermarkets – a way of holding on to something familiar in a rapidly changing city.
