Round and Round My Room
This drawing is about living alone in a studio apartment, illustrating the cyclical processes that take place in this single space. It aims to capture the entirety of the room from within, breaking away from the confines of orthographic drawings. When I drew this, having my own space was an affirmation of my sense of independence and individuality, a retreat from the intense social interactions of the work week. At a same time, this was never far removed from the sense of loneliness that comes from living in a city, even while surrounded by so many other people.
